Paint saver gas cap

I'm having problems with paint job peeling around the gas cap area. I have an Independent Gas Tank. Does any one know or can anyone refer me to someone who might be able to help me with this problem. The paint saver gas cap made by carlini does not fit.

Hey - I would think if you took it to a painter he might be able to shoot some clear coat or that stuff they use for clear bras on cars. Shouldn't cost too much and that might seal it up. I've known guys who carry funnels with them to "keep it neat".
