thanks dan
we're trying to convince the corporate guys who prefer plastic motorcycles that choppers are relevant.
they don't get it- never did.
i'd like to see even less chrome and bling in the next issue.
the market is there, the readers are there, and now we handed the business to a different magazine that was srtruggling. i don't have an mba so i must not understand the situation fully.

"...we're trying to convince the corporate guys who prefer plastic motorcycles that choppers are relevant.

One reason corporate has no clue is point to one person calling the ball. I think they should do a little research like work for their position and know the beat of the heat of the steel is plastic too is they have no clue.
Let me know if you want to know the score is that it has/was/will/always/never change. Like, "Hello, your kit vtwin kit half/works. Yeah, one part spins on perfect, the next part in the kit is gonna strip my threads is who do I talk to is 20% restocking fee and it does not fit? Think how out of pocket I am, you corporate/don't/give/2sheets.
I want to bring that corporate down for one miss-matched bolt no one cares about, but so far is has been over $300 in parts/gas running around, just to test how many kits and single parts I need that still will not fit is corporate is getting fat. The gas company knows I need to move is not their fault. The parts do not fit times 3 so far; is a far cry that corporate cat is sitting fat on my money with a 20% sticking fee/hold the ankles; is ask your jobber how they are treated via the larger Jobber (vt) they be.
So now ask corporate how many are buying kits from Chain-duh, a front end from Holland, and now make catalog and say they all parts fit is a bunch of BS.... Is where is that one guy I want to take his hand an build my bike from his catalog is a JOKE!
Call that corp/cat, The Stripper!
I do not run a half theory, do you? I do not say, I am going to build an engine and use, fuel-spark-compression as a full on fact is no half/fiction is am I lying if I could start that bike without one in position, yes or no?
Now, I do not know what kind of show you run around here with your editors and corporate ladder. But, I read way too many half/truths and how the 4-Stroke works is let me ask you this...
Corporate know how to explain the 4-Strokes where I am not about to crack up, laugh and show you how corrupt your theory is?
I am one on one with a magazine editor and because I mention a half truth written article and now I walk the author's why the bike is suppose to work is I am going to be very skeptical if they mess up the abstract.
I have a problem someone running up to me demanding some sort of corporate respect if they can't even get the tech right is give me a break.
I like a good argument and I want to listen real close to what you say. You might not like what I write or what I say and it may just tick you off.
I know why. You have no clue ass a corporate person in position is to hammer your theory to death.
If I call someone trying to find corporate to place them on the red carpet and demand to use their own parts against them is to close shop on them is the most dangerous part of the suspension I? am dealing with and I just want that owner of V-Twin to show me a half truth as I write this piece, as I prove, proof positive [from a kit no less] that no part fits what is described and to get away with that day after day is a crime.
Now, I am just getting something off my chest is a simple nut is call me a nut and now who is nuts if I hand you my project and just order a kit to fit it does not.
And finally, Is it corporates fault the parts do not fit from a kit or is it my fault I bought all the parts from that catalog and no part fits at all!
How could you put a catalog together, find all those village idiots with a foundry like China is corporate but they ship their foundry water with the lipstick and dog food.
I have no clue why I rant. I doubt it gets me anywhere but booted out of here. I am mentioning this as a warning that I am sitting here stalled because what V-Twin sold me does not fit is just half of the kit fits and it says it is for the front end I have.
Wear out is the ear of that owner of V-Twin is letting the Internet know you are not going to have a bike you can build out of that catalog is one more half truth be told.
