Back in October 2007 I took my Norton chopper to The Isles British motorcycle shop in Denver because it was puking oil out one pipe. Greg, the owner had an excuse every month why he didn't start work on my bike. It was one thing after another. Finally in August 2008 he starts work, thinking I needed a top end ring job. Turn out the rings ok. So say he's gotta look at the lower end. Now it's November 2008 and the bike is still not finished with no end date in sight. Anywhere else I have ever taken a bike, once the shop starts a job, they work through until that job is done (typically 1-2 days max). Greg even had the timerity to say he was still taking on new jobs. Has anyone else dealt with this dud? I don't know what to think. If I go down there and demand my bike back, I'll wind up with a box of parts where my engine was. What's up with this *** Please, don't anyone else deal with this dud. Totally unprofessional and unbusinesslike.

A few days after this was written, this customer received his bike back in the same condition as the day we received it, complete , with no damage. He was not charged for any parts or labor. We replaced his battery free of charge because it went bad while in our possesion. We apologized for having his bike for so long. We have had some health issues this past year and are behind on our maintence. We are working hard to catch up. We did have his bike for too long and I understand why he's upset.

Just like my experience at ISLES. I went in this morning to get some parts and had a bad experience with the rotund mechanic who was totally rude and pissed off that he had to turn down the tv set to answer a question. In an economy like this I wouldn't be turning away customers because your wife had you arrested for a domestic the night before. Stay away.
