Just checkin the site out. Was wondering what anyone thought of the 81 xlh ironhead. I'm Puying one next week it's been chopped. Was wondering about anyone's thoughts on the year 81.

Hello all, Well the bikes all most done, waiting on gas tank(pic to come soon). Now the question? what oil to use for the area (AZ Desert), Question 2 how too break in a new or rebuild engine Have heard many theory's on this subject...need feed back.

Anything "IRONHEAD" is the coolest. I have owned a 76,79,82,and 85 and loved them all.

when i lived out there, i ran straight 60 weight in my '72 xlch. seemed to be ok. as far as break in, i took it easy for a couple hundred miles.
