Hi guys, I'm building my first bike and I need some advice on assembling my driveline. Here's what I have: Santee #95009 rigid frame - accepts 4speed transmission. Also, picking up a used '94 evo w/ mods that should be perfect fit. My problem is that I want to put a 4spd kicker in but I'm seeing alot of different styles of 4speeds on line. I'd like to be sure of what to order before I spend any money. - Need help deciphering styles. Also I'd like to hear any of your thoughts on a primary. I guess I'm open to any opinions as far as the type to use( pros and cons ) - Also would like advice on how to correctly choose correct model here as well. As a note: frame has a 33deg. neck - 2" strech and I have an original Donnie Smith springer that's 10" over. So theoretically, bike should be looking a little bit 'old school'. Sorry if my questions seem stupid, but I really want to do this and I want to learn as much as I can about bike building along the way. Thanks guys.

You will have a problem finding an exhaust to clear your kicker. We had some made to clear the kicker, so you need to first install the kicker so you can bend pipe from there.
If you go on line and type, 4-speed kicker kit" something like that, you can see the brand name they sell and keep searching like data dare.
I installed that York 5-speed kicker and it works very nice. So, if for that part alone is all I know, I think you are somewhat stuck with a York that tools up for retro-fit your kick. Meaning, they have your combination you are not going to be stuck you cannot assemble enough aftermarket onto the OEM is fits good enough for no electric start and a good 1/4 kick is a well tuned bike is who needs a heavy starter motor.
