FINAL BUILD: DAY ONE

Well, 90 percent of the parts are here and have been plated or polished. Now it's time to get this bike together.

Mike and Skinhead Todd took emery paper and got the pivots on the 3GUYZ springer ready for action.

After the fork was assembled, we turned our attention over to getting the frame ready for assembly. due to the thickness of the chrome, we had to carefully sand a few things on the frame to get the parts to fit back on the frame.

Todd and Mike pressed in the DNA neck cups and slid the springer into the frame.

The front Invader was then installed on the fork

Now its time to get that shovel back into the frame and get it all bolted up.

the Paughco/Biltwell/West Eagle pipes were installed.

The Rear Invader, Baker transmission, Tech Cycle primary, West Eagle fender, and AEE sissybar were installed and adjusted.

Ballbreaker installed and adjusted the S&S carb and Joe Hunt Magneto.

The Duane Ballard Wrapped Biltwell seat needed a bit of trimming to the mounting bolts so it would clear the backbone of the frame.

FINAL BUILD DAY 2

The Harpoon showed up with the freshly painted Detroit Bros. tank and wasted no time in getting on on the bike. It's a funky scheme that really sets the look of the bike smack dab in the late sixties.

From there we moved onto plumbing the bike and wiring it up as well. The Foundry Moto "Jesus" tailight is wired down the sissybar and into the Arlen Ness brake actuator switch, which is bolted into the Flyrite brake caliper.

CABLE TIME

Now that all that wiring and oil & fuel lines were done, we moved onto the clutch and throttle cables. We were in need of custom cables, we gave the fine folks at Motion Pro a call. Motion Pro makes some of the finest off the shelf and custom cables money can buy.

To make things easier and to get the correct cables the first time, we sketched what was needed, scanned it and emailed to them.

Three days later we had our cables delivered by the Fed Ex driver. These cables were a work of art. Everything fit correctly and was exactly the right length.

Well, the bike is back together, plumbed and cabled. It should only be a short time until she runs!

RUBY'S CHOKING!

While getting the bike running we found that the combination of the tall Custom Chrome velocity stack and Performance Machine forward controls with Hippy Killer pegs, that our legs would cover the velocity stack and cut off the air supply to the S&S carb.

We ended up going with a really nice item from the land of the rising sun. Our friends at Satsuma Cycle Works sent us via airmail from Japan a polished brass shorty velocity stack that adds just the right look and clears the calves.
