A Real Chopper Has Long Forks ! Like Mine Has 5 Feet 7 inches !

Sence when is any old V twin bike considered a Chopper ? A Bobber is not a chopper in any sence of the word ! Rake does not make it a Chopper either ! Long Forks are what makes it a Chopper ! not just 6 or 12 inches over ! No if's and's or butt's ! Big tires and rake do not make a chopper , they are Bobbers and cruisers and want-a-be Choppers ! . Choppers are meant to be a separate breed apart - wild in a word ! . They should also have some real Horsepower ! 100 or so !. I also realize that 100 Horsepower will break the piggy bank in most v-twins ! That's The fact and it's too bad ! Example; Yamaha has 168 Horsepower stock in a v-max that is water cooled and shaft driven. 1903 technology with fuel injection is just not cutting the mustard any more ! go ahead and cry screamin eagle ! like my little brother ! what a geek !  

Do you have a dyno sheet? Just curious, I have probably 5 bikes in my shop with well over 100 horses, and guess what they are all v-twin. mine does 145 at the wheel. The next one will be pushing 190.  I have yet to see a stock or a little modified suk of the early 80s push over 100. You got to compare apples to apples, not oranges. A v-max in 85 put out 145 and weighed a lot less than a harley. And for your other statement, A screamin eagle is a sissy until modified, they have to meet epa standards, and Harley has to detune the bikes alot. It is easier to meet the standards with a water cooled bike. I just got a phone call from a customer that I installed a 127 ultima motor in his bike and he ran into some sport bikes on the highway that couldn't get away. So just checking if your just mad you don't have a harley, or that you can't put a real v-twin in your want to be frame... oops did I say that...lol.

P.S. I build many bikes, *** and American. So don't think I am pickin' on ya. I am inpressed with a lot of guys out there making choppers out of *** bikes. the parts are harder to come by. I build american choppers all day, all I have to do is look in a book. So post your pics so I can see what you designed.
