My Paughco swing arm frame broke inhalf on the kicker side just below the passenger foot peg mount. I was on the highway cruseing at 65 mph and the rear wheel started rubbing on the inside of the rear fender on the chain side.
I pulled off the road and looked at the rear tire it was angled over at the top of the wheel (the kicker side)and the rear of the tire to the chain side. The only thing holding the rear of the frame together was the chain side of the frame.
Has any body had this problem with Paughco frames and how do you fix it and be safe?
Just an update Paughco returned my e-mail, thay said there other frames that broke had never broke in this area. I wonder how meny frames broke? As a builder where do you go to find out about frame suppliers and frame failures?
Thay said they would sell me another one at a good price.

I bought one o them pieces of crap they call a frame. A wishbone rigid. The first time it broke I called em and their reply was that I ship it back and maybe they would fix or replace it at a REASONABLE cost. Being as it was the middle of summer and it was my first year with my NEW pan I was reluctant to give up my first season so easily. It broke at the seat post first then in the middle of the backbone the second year. I really don't think I ride that hard.. but, the western NY roads aren't that great. I don't think I would ever buy another one. Thats just my two cents. Thanks for lettin me vent!!
